An investigation is underway after anti-police graffiti was found on a law enforcement memorial at the BC legislature last week.

The incident wasn’t reported to VicPD until Thursday, December 2nd, and officers are now investigating.

“We are seeking information from the community to assist with the investigation,” said VicPD in their release.

The Bastion BC Law Enforcement Memorial, unveiled in 2004, is dedicated to officers in the province who have lost their lives in the line of duty and includes 129 names, with six of those being members of VicPD.

Anyone with information is asked to contact VicPD at 250-995-7654, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
