

Saanich Police are investigating a collision between a truck and an e-scooter that occurred last Friday, and are reminding motorists to remain at the scene after a crash.
On November 26th, at approximately 8:50 a.m. a collision occurred at the intersection of Vanalman Avenue and Glanford Avenue between an e-scooter and a truck.
Although the driver of the truck stopped to speak to the scooter rider, he did not exchange information and left the scene.
CCTV footage captured the driver leaving the scene eastbound on Vanalman Avenue toward the Pat Bay Highway.

The driver of the 4 door Toyota Tacoma is described as a Caucasian man, 40-50 years old with a grey beard. At the time of the collision, he was wearing a high-vis vest.
The rider of the scooter suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
“Motorists are required to remain on scene after a collision, provide assistance if necessary and exchange information with any driver and any other person involved that may be injured” Saanich PD reminds the public.
