Get those napkins ready, Victoria – there’s a new fried chicken joint in town!
Starting December 15th, you can enjoy the taste of New Orleans with the grand opening of Vancouver Island’s very first Popeyes Louisiana Chicken – and it’s right here in Victoria.
The new location is opening in Tuscany Village in Saanich, and will bring a whole new world of flavour to the city.
“Popeyes Bonafide chicken, which comes in mild and spicy flavours, is a Popeyes classic,” the Popeyes regional manager told Victoria Buzz.
“Our famous chicken sandwich and other boneless menu offerings are also very popular.”
In the summer, rumours began to swirl about the franchise coming to Victoria.
However, due to a number of factors including shipment delays and supply chain issues in the province, the grand opening of the new location was delayed.
Now, they are set to open their doors with a grand opening this Wednesday, December 15th!
Within the next few weeks, you will also find Popeyes on your favourite local delivery apps as well as be able to order directly from the Popeyes Canada app.
Popeyes Canada hopes to open as many as five more franchises on Vancouver Island, with hopes of having their second location in Nanaimo completed by Christmas.
So stop in for their famous chicken sandwich, spicy chicken, chicken tenders, fried shrimp and more!
