VicPD are seeking a suspect who allegedly caused mischief during a protest at the  BC Legislature on Friday.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, November 26th protesters gathered on the lawns of the BC Legislature. The protest was in response to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visiting with Premier John Horgan in response to ongoing flooding across the province.

According to officers, they were on scene working with members of the public and protest groups to keep the peace and ensure lawful access to the buildings.

After the meeting concluded and the Prime Minister had departed the premises, VicPD received reports of mischief at the protest site.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 5’10”,with a medium build. He has a light brown goatee-style beard with a braid and curly shoulder-length brown hair.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a zip-up white and grey Cowichan-style sweater, green “army” pants, dark boots and a multi-coloured knitted toque.

Another man was taken into custody that evening during the same protest for mischief. That case remains under investigation.
