Vancouver Island continues to see residents celebrating their good fortune, with another lucky local celebrating their lotto win this week!
Duncan resident Michael Wadsworth says he always dreamed of logging into his PlayNow.com to check his lottery tickets and seeing a great big number.
After buying a ticket for the January 19th draw, Wadsworth’s dream came true when he won the Guaranteed $1-million Lotto 6/49 prize.
“I brought my breakfast into the living room, sat down in my chair, was checking my emails, and I almost fell out of the chair when I saw the prize,” he said.
When asked what he plans on spending his winnings, Wadsworth said he wants to buy his wife her dream car.
“I asked if she was sure, that there’s also Audis and BMWs,” said Wadsworth. “She said ‘nope, I want a Volvo.’”
Wadsworth also plans on taking his family on a vacation to Maui when the time is right.
