BC Transit has been recognized as one of the province’s top employers for 2022.
The annual competition, organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, selects organizations based on physical workspace, health, financial and family benefits, training and skills development and community involvement.
In order to qualify, an employer must have its head office or principle place of business located in British Columbia.
With this award, BC Transit is recognized as an industry leader in providing an exceptional workplace, offering employees a wide range of benefits and services.
The partnerships with their unions, Pacific Blue Cross and Lifeworks, means its 958 employees have access to extended dental, health and pension plans.
“We work hard to deliver transportation services you can rely on while also providing employees with an inclusive work environment where they can thrive and grow,” said Erinn Pinkerton, BC Transit President and Chief Executive Officer.
“Being recognized with this award for a second straight year is an honour for our dynamic, hard-working and diverse team.”
BC Transit wasn’t the only Vancouver Island employer to make the list!
BC Assessment, BC Investment Management Corporation, BC Ferries, CRD, Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia, Saanich Police Department, UVic, VIU and Victoria Airport Authority also joined them.
