After eleven years in business, a beloved Victoria ice cream staple is looking to pass along their legacy to a new owner.

On Monday, Kid Sister Ice Cream co-owners Brett Black and Colleen Rode took to their Instagram to announce the news.

According to the post, the ice cream company is looking for someone who is committed to continuing the creation of their beloved products to take over the business.

Kid Sister Ice Cream spent ten years in their original Fan Tan Alley location, becoming a favourite of both locals and visitors to the city, before they were forced to close their doors due to lease issues in February 2021.

At that time, the shop had been closed since September 2020, as part of a regular seasonal closure and was scheduled to re-open in March.

In May 2021, Kid Sister Ice Cream opened a new location in Cook Street village, a ‘mini outlet’ selling pints, half pints and paletas (popsicles).

The purchaser of the Kid Sister Ice Cream brand will receive the equipment, branding, website and social media platforms, exclusive recipes and mentoring and training.

According to the company’s latest post, the ideal candidate will have food production experience as well as a production facility.
