The search for a missing Vancouver Island mom and son continues, and North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP is sharing more details to locate the pair.

Police now believe Jacqueline Nelson may be driving or is the passenger of a blue 2006 Honda Civic sedan, alongside her three-month-old Kane Nelson.

The car has BC license plate NE098G, with a clear coat of paint on the hood and a peeling roof, according to a Friday update.

On Thursday, February 3rd, North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP said Jacqueline and Kane had not been heard from since January 24th.

Police say they have reason to believe Jacqueline may have been in Manitoba around January 27th, but that has not yet been confirmed.

She’s described as a 38-year-old Caucasian woman, standing at 5’3” and weighing around 115 pounds, with blue eyes and red hair.

Anyone with information about Jacqueline and Kane, or who knows where they might be, is asked to call the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at (250) 748-5522.
