Over eight months later, Comox Valley RCMP says the search for a missing woman is ending on a tragic note.
The body of Ami Guthrie, who was last seen in Courtenay on June 2nd, 2021, has been found “sadly deceased,” according to police.
At the time of her disappearance, Guthrie was 29-years-old.
The BC Coroners Service is now investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, but police say criminality isn’t suspected.
“The Comox Valley RCMP would like to thank the media and everyone who helped with the search over the last six months,” added Cst. Monika Terragni.
