Planning for an intimate night out with your bae? The reviews are in and it seems Victoria has a flair for romance at the dining table.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, OpenTable has released Canada’s 100 Most Romantic Restaurants 2022 list and a pair of eateries in our city’s downtown are coming in hot.
Agrius and Ferris’ Upstairs Seafood and Oyster Bar—both on Yates Street—were included in this year’s list, alongside 20 other BC restaurants.
“The list is determined by analyzing more than 726,000 reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners,” the company says.
On OpenTable.ca, Agruis is described as “a unique dining experience,” offering a “rotating dinner menu showcasing local, organic ingredients.”
Within one of Victoria’s oldest buildings, Ferris’ Upstairs Seafood and Oyster Bar features “fresh seafood from our local waters and premium steaks from Alberta,” according to OpenTable.
North of town in Brentwood Bay, The Dining Room at Butchart Gardens also ranked as one of Canada’s most romantic restaurants.
Meanwhile, 42 Ontario entries made the list, as our neighbouring province, Alberta, accounted for 15 entries.
