RCMP continue search for missing 15-year-old Campbell River boy believed to be avoiding police

The search for missing 15-year-old Mason Cassidy continues, with RCMP providing a more descriptive information about the teen in hopes the public can help locate him.

Cassidy was last seen on March 6th.

On March 7th, Mason Cassidy, 15, and Mason Claybourn, 16 were reported missing to RCMP.

After that report, police said the two had been in contact with friends and family multiple times. 

Officers believed the teenagers may have been trying to avoid contact with the police and were being sheltered at friends’ residences in Campbell River or Sayward.

Now, RCMP have issued a missing persons report for Cassidy. It is unclear if Mason Claybourn has returned home.

Cassidy is described as Caucasian, standing 5’7” and weighing approximately 100 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
