Summer just got a little bit sweeter!

After going virtual during the pandemic, one of Saanich’s sweetest events is returning to in-person at Beaver Lake Park this July!

What started as a celebration of the municipality’s agricultural roots has now grown into a vastly popular yearly festival.

The highly anticipated, all ages event will include displays, face painting, arts and craft stations, bouncy castles and more.

But most importantly, there will be strawberries and ice cream on sale for $1!

Ticket sales for the sweet treat will go on sale at 11 a.m., and the dessert will be served from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

You’ll have to act fast though, they are typically all sold out by 2:30 p.m!

Bring a blanket and enjoy a day at the beach, eating delicious strawberries and enjoying music on the main stage.

So far, Commodores Big Band has been announced as a musical act at the festival, with more entertainment acts to be announced soon.

And even better, admission is free!
