An Esquimalt man is $100,000 richer after winning a 5X the Money Scratch & Win ticket.
Stephen Tom had just finished up at the hairdresser when he realized he had won on the ticket he had purchased from the Thrifty Foods on Admiral Road.
“I was at the kitchen counter when I saw the ticket was a winner and I didn’t believe it,” said Tom with excitement.
“I scanned it on my phone and showed my wife. We both couldn’t believe it.”
In his free time, Tom enjoys driving around to different beaches and looks forward to taking a tropical island vacation thanks to his big win.
“My family has always wanted to go to Hawaii or New Zealand where there are a lot of beaches,” he said.
