Now’s your chance to sit back, relax and experience the stunning scenic views, rich history and picturesque landscapes of Ireland—without having to travel too far.

The big screen documentary Ireland is now playing at IMAX Victoria and offers an escape to the Emerald Isle, narrated by Hollywood actor and Ballymena, Northern Ireland-native Liam Neeson.

Audiences will discover the ancient land’s vibrant traditions, language, and sacred customs—exploring landmarks like the giant Cliffs of Moher and the volcanic Giant’s Causeway.

“There is a movement in Ireland to reconnect with our heritage, to rediscover what it means to be Irish, and I am delighted to help bring the joy and diversity of all that Ireland has to offer, both the old and the new,” said Neeson.

“As viewers experience Ireland’s great beauty and humanity on the world’s largest screens, they will fall in love all over again.”

With a 43-minute running time, IMAX says Ireland is led by Irish writer Manchán Magan, violinist Patricia Treacy and four Irish teens looking to connect with their Irish heritage.

“Our story intertwines Ireland’s ancient past with its vibrant future, and I hope the film ignites a new appreciation for the vast, natural beauty and fascinating, cultural traditions of this magical place,” added director Greg MacGillivray.

Ireland is showing at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily at IMAX Victoria, located within Royal BC Museum. More information, including showtimes and tickets, can be found online here.
