Nothing screams summer like an outdoor festival and the delicious smells of food trucks cooking up your favourite foods.

Thankfully, Victoria is abundant in delicious and unique food trucks, all locally-owned and operated. 

Many of them even have a set location so you know exactly where to find them. For others, they come to you, attending the most anticipated events, parking at the beach for those summer night cravings.

One even lets you know when they will be in your area, just with a simple sign up!

Hungry? Here’s your ultimate guide to some of the best food trucks in and around Victoria:

Taco Justice

Are you a Mexican food fanatic?

Taco Justice’s food truck serves tacos, burritos and burrito bowls with gluten free/dairy free and cilantro free options available upon request. 

  • Location: 1580 Cook Street, near the corner of Cook and Pandora
  • Hours: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday to Thursday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday

Songhees Food Truck

The food served by the Songhees Food Truck is rooted in the Songhees Nation’s deep history in Victoria and the surrounding region, offering a modern take on Songhees cultural tradition.

  • Location: 1502 Admirals Road
  • Hours: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday

Morning People Food Co.

In 2019, the creators of the Morning People Food Co. sought out to provide high-quality breakfast and lunch food to the people of Victoria. 

The truck offers a variety of breakfast sandwiches, hashes, and smoothie bowls, using locally-sourced ingredients whenever they can.

  • Location: 325 Cook Street
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday

Deadbeetz Burgers

If you love burgers, you’ll love Deadbeetz.

With beef and breaded chicken burger options for the meat eaters, a house made nut patty for the vegetarians and house made quinoa patty for vegans, there’s something for everyone.

You can find one of their food trucks at its permanent location: 

  • Location: 675 Belleville Street, Newcombe Square behind the Royal BC Museum
  • Hours: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday to Friday, starting June 9th

You can find Deadbeetz’ second truck throughout the week at various locations:

  • EFM Gorge Park: Monday, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • EFM Memorial: Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Langford Station: Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Colwood Beach: Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Kattia’s Kitchen

Kattia’s Kitchen serves on-the-go, authentic Mexican food.

You can find them around the city and even hire them to cater your special event!

If you’re gluten free or vegan, they have options for you.

TasteBuds

TasteBuds food truck serves chargrilled organic BC beef burgers, Jamaican jerk chicken, smoked pork sandwiches and veggie burgers . 

All their meals are served with fresh potato salad, coleslaw and a pickle. 

If you’re looking for something sweet, they also serve 8 flavours of Island Farms ice cream. 

  • Location: 5611 East Sooke Road
  • Hours: 12 p.m. to 6:50 p.m., Monday to Sunday

Los Panas Kitchen

Los Panas Kitchen describes their food truck delicacies as ‘authentic Venezuelan food made with love’, serving arepas and patacones.

Gluten-free options are also available!

  • Location: Market Square, Lower Courtyard, #63, 560 Johnson Street
  • Hours: 5 p.m. to 9 pm. Thursday and Friday, 4 pm. To 8 p.m., Saturday

Grilled to the Mac

Grilled to the Mac is reinventing comfort food.

Although they move around, spreading the news of their delicious mac and cheese dishes, they have currently taken residency at Sooke Oceanside Brewery (5871 Sooke Road). 

This new, more permanent spot means you can enjoy a meal outside at one of their picnic tables, inside the brewery with a beverage or on Sooke Oceanside’s ocean-view patio. 

As a mobile food vendor we move around a little, though currently we have taken residency at Sooke Oceanside Brewery, located at 5871 Sooke Rd. Feel free to eat at one of our picnic tables, with a beverage inside the brewery, or enjoy their ocean-view patio.

Greek on the Street

Opa!

Do you love Greek food?

Estia Gourmet Catering brings the flavours of Greece to the city with their Greek on the Street food truck. 

Try a vegetarian pita wrap with delicious zucchini and eggplant, a heavenly lamb gyro and more!

Hullabaloo Coffee

Hullabaloo Coffee is officially one year old!

The truck serves handcrafted espresso drinks, ice cream (including vegan options) and delicious snacks.

You can find them daily at a permanent Red Barn location.

  • Location: 5550 West Saanich Road, Red Barn 
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

The Ice Cream Truck

We all scream for ice cream!

The easy-to-spot vehicle that is dubbed ‘The Ice Cream Truck’ is back, delivering some of your favourite Vancouver Island ice cream treats directly to your neighbourhood.

The colourful truck is easy to find, however, you can sign up on their website to receive text notification alerts when they are in your neighbourhood – or even view the live location of the truck on their live tracker!

Sub Zero Ice Cream 

Sub Zero Ice Cream was created in Victoria by a Camosun College student with the goal of bringing delicious ice cream to the people of the city!

Now, the truck serves 11 different flavours of Island Farms ice cream.

Candytime

Do you have a sweet tooth?

Candytime has been a family business since the 1960s, kicking off at the Calgary Stampede. 

Now, the truck travels to major exhibitions across Canada. During the fall and winter, Candytime operates locally in Victoria at parades, festivals and other seasonal events.

Cup-A-Roni Truck

Cup-A-Roni food truck serves BBQ pepperonis, signature brioche paninis and other specialty items and finger foods.
