Nanaimo RCMP issues warrant for violent offender charged with forcible confinement and assault (UPDATED)

UPDATE: Nanaimo RCMP confirmed they have located and arrested 37-year-old Kyle Gordon Ordway.

“Acting on tips from the public, officers quickly located and arrested Ordway without incident,” RCMP said in a statement.

Ordway remains in police custody and is awaiting an appearance in Nanaimo Provincial Court.

RCMP are asking the public for any information on the location of a violent offender in Nanaimo, after issuing a warrant for his arrest.

In February 2021, 37-year-old Kyle Gordon Ordway was charged with forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and theft. 

Ordway appeared in court for these charges and was later released back into the community. 

Shortly afterwards, Ordway breached his court order release conditions, leading to warrants being issued for his arrest.

Ordway is described as Caucasian man, standing 5’10” tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. 

He has brown eyes and brown hair.
