Pomeranian puppy ‘Nugget’ stolen from Langford reunited with owner

Share

Nearly two weeks later, Nugget’s back home.

After being snatched from a job site in Greater Victoria last month, the Pomeranian puppy has been found safe and sound, ROAM (Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing) says.

The non-profit gets the word out about lost pets and took to Facebook on May 26th, saying three-month-old Nugget was inside a camper attached to a pickup truck stolen from Langford.

At the time, Nugget was “missed terribly,” according to the puppy’s owner.

A search ensued as West Shore RCMP pleaded for public help to find both Nugget and the truck, after the camper was found abandoned near Shawnigan Lake.

However, the pup was nowhere to be found.

In a positive turn of events, Nugget’s owner on Wednesday (June 8th) said he was located out of province and surrendered to Brooks Animal Rescue in Brooks, Alberta.

The owner thanks all who helped in the search, spread the word via social media and “sent hope,” adding that close friends were on route driving Nugget back to BC.
