Swoop, the low-cost option for flights, has announced they will soon be offering flights between Comox and Edmonton!

Starting June 9th, travellers will be able to make the 1 hour and 40 minute flight, rather than making the trip to Victoria.

From June through July, flights between the two destinations will be offered on Sundays and Thursdays,  with prices ranging from $67 to $227.

Starting in August, their schedule will expand to include additional days.

Swoop is an independently operated company that exists under the WestJet Group. Passengers pay low fares for just the seat they travel in, with further pricing options for luggage.

Swoop airlines landed in Victoria in April 2020, bringing low-cost flight options to the Island. Their first route was between Victoria and Winnipeg.

In April 2021, Swoop added additional routes, connecting Victoria to Abbotsford and Kelowna.
