

VicPD are on the scene of a single-vehicle crash at the Royal Jubilee Hospital this morning.
The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Bay Street and Lee Avenue.
According to VicPD, a vehicle struck a pedestrian before colliding with a building near Royal Jubilee Hospital—photos from the scene show the vehicle crashed into the BC Cancer Agency building.
In an update, VicPD said the vehicle was travelling on hospital grounds when the pedestrian was struck in a crosswalk, and then proceeded over a curb and into the nearby building.
Police say both the pedestrian and the driver of the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the vehicle was also transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No occupants inside the building were injured.

VicPD collision analysts will be in the area of Royal Jubilee for several hours as they investigate the incident.
Patients can access the BC Cancer Clinic at the entrance off Trent Street.
Police believe at this time the cause of the crash is driver error. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor.
