A 45-year-old man remains in custody and is facing multiple charges following the seizure of a substantial amount of drugs, cash and guns last month.

A four-month long investigation ended with search warrants being executed on a Comox Valley man’s home, storage unit and vehicles on June 16th.

Comox Valley RCMP said over 484 grams of suspected fentanyl, 885 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 355 grams of suspected cocaine were seized. In addition, three handguns and 12 long guns were seized—several of which were reported as stolen.

Police said they also confiscated scales, cash and packaging during the search.

“This seizure has disrupted the criminal activity here in the Comox Valley and undoubtedly saved lives,” said Insp. Mike Kurvers, Officer in Charge, Comox Valley RCMP.

“Several specialized units at the detachment came together to make this happen; the Major Crime Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Frontline members, and Integrated Forensic Identification Services.” Kurvers added.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing, and investigators continue to gather all available evidence surrounding the procession and distribution of the drugs and guns.

Anyone with information about this incident or any other criminal activity in the Comox Valley is asked to call RCMP at 250-338-1321.
