Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 48-year-old man.
Aaron Akey is of no fixed address and has been known to travel on foot between southern communities on Vancouver Island.
His family and the RCMP are concerned for Mr. Akey’s health and safety.
Akey is described as Caucasian, standing 5’7″ tall and weighing approximately 146 pounds.
He has short dark brown hair, a full beard and blue eyes.
“We know that at this time of year many people are out on the trails, and camping in remote areas around the island”, said Constable Wade, Nanaimo RCMP spokesperson.
“So, if you see someone matching Mr. Akey’s description, please call the Nanaimo RCMP.”
