A Victoria man is planning to move into a new home and do a bit of travelling after winning $100,000 on a scratch and win ticket he had purchased from Save-On-Foods on Foul Bay Road.
“I was at home and I stood there for a few minutes and just looked at it,” he recalled of the moment he realized he won.
“I got my glasses to make sure it was true.”
After taking a moment to look at his ticket in silence, Ackerman called his sister to share the news.
“She was cheering while I was still in shock,” he said.
When asked what he plans to do with the winnings, Ackerman explained he is looking forward to moving into a new home and travelling.
“It feels pretty darn good,” he said.
