Embrace scary season: Take a ghost tour through Victoria’s Ross Bay Cemetery this Halloween

Share

Victoria is well known to be one of the most haunted places in Western Canada. It would make sense that our cemeteries are crawling with paranormal activity, wouldn’t it?

Victoria’s Old Cemeteries Society is once again holding its annual Halloween Ghost Tour through the historic Ross Bay Cemetery.

You’ll learn all about the ghost stories linked to the people buried in the cemetery and rumour has it, some of the grave’s occupants might even come to life to tell you their stories.

All are welcome, this ghost tour is an all-ages event, however the squeamish may take some nightmares with them as a souvenir.

The tour will start at 2 p.m. rain or shine and the Old Cemeteries Society asks that participants meet at the Stannard Avenue entrance to the cemetery 10 to 15 minutes early.

They also recommend dressing for the weather and wearing sturdy footwear as the ground is uneven in some areas.

Tickets will be sold on-site and the cost is $2 for members and $5 for non-members. The Old Cemeteries Society accepts only cash, so break open your piggy bank and bring some dollars.
