A missing Victoria man last seen in Madrid in July has been found dead.
Police said 67-year-old Scott Graham was last seen in Madrid when he visited the Canadian Embassy in the Spanish capital on July 15th.
Family said Graham made an appointment to return to the embassy the following Monday on July 18th, but that he never showed up.
A missing case was conducted in Spain with VicPD matching those efforts on August 8th by issuing their own appeal for help in locating him.
According to family, Graham suffered from a medical condition that could become life-threatening if he does not receive daily medication which caused deep concern for his family.
“Scott Graham, a Victoria man who went missing while in Spain in July, has been located. Unfortunately, he is deceased,” VicPD said in a release.
Police said the circumstances of Graham’s death remains under investigation by Spanish authorities at this time but are believed to be non-suspicious.
“Thank you to everyone who shared Scott’s information and supported his family’s efforts in their search to locate him. Our thoughts are with Scott’s family at this difficult time,” said VicPD.
