West Shore RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying two possible witnesses following a suspicious fire in Langford over the weekend.

Police say they were called to the fire around 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 8th after Langford Fire had housed the blaze in the brushes on the north side of the walking trail.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation. Police learned that there were possible witnesses in the area that left prior to speaking with investigators,” said Cpl. Nancy Saggar, West Shore RCMP Media Relations officer.

Specifically, police are looking for two women in their 60s who were seen walking the trail before the fire department arrived.

“We are looking to speak to these ladies as they may have information that could help us in our investigation,” said Saggar.

If you were in the area at the time and have information regarding this suspicious fire, West Shore RCMP are asking for witnesses to call them at 250-474-2264.
