Police investigating after $15,000 worth of merchandise stolen from Oak Bay store

Oak Bay Police are investigating an early morning break-in where thousands of dollars of merchandise was stolen from a local business.

According to police, $15,000 worth of eyewear and eyeglass frames were stolen.

Julie Chanin, Deputy Chief Constable of Oak Bay Police told Victoria Buzz the break and enter took place shortly before 4:30 a.m. on November 13th.

Chanin did not disclose the store location where the merchandise was stolen but says it was an optical retailer.

Oak Bay Police encourage anyone that was walking or driving between 4 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on November 13th that may have noticed anything suspicious to contact them at 250-592-2424.
