One person is dead, and several others were wounded after a stabbing incident in Port Alberni last weekend.
Just before 9 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd, Port Alberni RCMP were called to a stabbing in the 3600 block of 4th Avenue.
Arriving officers located four individuals with knife wounds, including one that has now been identified as a suspect.
“We don’t believe there is any risk to the general public, this is an isolated incident,” said Constable Richard Johns.
“Officers from our Major Crime Section spent the night investigating and will continue until all of the details have been unearthed. All persons involved in the incident are identified and the investigation is under control.”
Police did not say if it was the suspect or one of the victims that died Friday.
Due to the ongoing investigation, RCMP said they would not be releasing any other details.
