We’ve made it, Victoria! To the end of the week, that is.

All though it’s Friday the 13th don’t let that scare you from enjoying the wicked events this city has to offer.

From heartwarming and intimate comedy shows to live music and hockey rivalries, these Friday events are jam packed with quality entertainment.

Without further ado, here are five events happening in and around Victoria this Friday, January 13th:

Victoria Job Fair – Victoria Career Fair

Victoria Royals vs. Kelowna Rockets

Having won five of their last eight games, the Royals are looking to continue this momentum as they return to home ice this Friday for the first time in 2023 against divisional rival the Kelowna Rockets.

Ed Hill Presents “Stupid Ed”

Stupid Ed is intimate, insightful, and at times — incredible. Comprised of introspections about Ed’s relationships with the female figures in his life, the show explores the values that a first-generation Taiwanese Canadian immigrant has learned from his motherland, Canada.

Stupid Ed is both a heartwarming and heartbreaking story. It is a close examination on the meaning of strength, a genuine reflection on the concept of fragility, and an honest observation on what connects all of us: love.

Sarah Smith live

Multiple award-winning & world-touring musician Sara Smith rocks the stage Friday night with her full band!

After spending the last couple of years as a touring artist performing all over Canada, the United States, Europe and The Caribbean, Smith now calls Pender Island home.

This is a show you’re not going to want to miss!

Folk at the Tug 

Head on down to The Tug Eatery on January 13th for a night of acoustic bliss and rockin’ folk music!

The lineup this week will feature Aaron Wylder at 8:30 p.m., Harvey Moon at 9:20 p.m.  and Spencer Hiemstra 10:20 p.m.
