Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual who allegedly threw a cup full of cold coffee at a McDonald’s employee earlier this month.

Police say at around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday January 12th, a customer at the Bowen Road McDonald’s attempted to throw a cup of cold coffee at the employee but missed.

Officers who attended the scene say that employees reported a man sleeping at one of their tables.

When an employee knocked on the table to wake him, the man  started to swear loudly at the staff member. A supervisor stepped in and asked the man to leave the premises.

He left the store after throwing the coffee.

Nanaimo RCMP describe the suspect as possibly Caucasian, standing 5’9” tall, having a medium build, a clean shaven face, with short dark hair.

He was wearing a light brown jacket, dark baseball cap and was carrying a black backpack at the time of the incident.
