String of thefts and mischief prompts investigation by West Shore RCMP

Share

Lately there have been a number of thefts from vehicles and mischief in the West Shore.

Police say as of January 1st, there were 12 recent reports of theft from residents’ vehicles and mischief to property in both Metchosin and Langford.

Eight of those reports involved theft from vehicles and four were regarding damage to peoples’ personal property.

One commonality was that several people told police they saw a male suspect and they all had a similar description. One photo was taken of this man while caught in the act on January 7th.

Police say the suspect they want to question is a man with light to medium skin complexion. He was seen wearing a green or camo jacket with white logo on the upper left side, black pants, white runners and he had a large bright green face cloth covering the bottom half of his face.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying this male.

Anyone who knows who this is or could be, call West Shore RCMP at (250) 474-2264.
