The results are in, and Forbes Magazine has named one Vancouver Island university as one of Canada’s best employment opportunities—once again!
Beating 275 other companies, the University of Victoria has been ranked in 25th place as the best employment option across Canada.
With 7,253 employees, Kane Kilbey, University of Victoria’s Associate Vice President of Human Resources tells Victoria Buzz, “We are proud that UVic has been recognized in Forbes’ Canada’s Best Employers list as an industry leader offering an exceptional place to work.”
“We recognize the members of our university community – faculty, staff, researchers and others – who contribute to our success in so many ways,” said Kilbey.
The 2022 ranking was based on a survey of more than 12,000 Canadians working for companies and institutions with at least 500 employees.
Participants were asked to rate how likely they were to recommend their current employer, and could recommend employers other than their own.
