7 restaurants in and around Victoria still serving up buffet-style meals

Gone are the days where you could spot a buffet on every street corner in Victoria (anyone remember Uncle Willy’s?), and now the sacred form of ‘All You Can Eat’ is a little bit harder to find.

Though many of the sumptuous spreads took a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and never returned, there are few restaurants holding strong in their offerings, and we’ve compiled a few of the best here for you.

Without further ado, here are 7 restaurants in and around Victoria that still have buffets:

The Mantra

Serving up a unique lunch buffet everyday, The Mantra features 180 different traditional Indian dishes rolling out over a month. Fill your plate with delectable Indian cuisine accompanied by Naan served fresh to your table.

  • When: Monday to Sunday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Thai Corner

Thai Corner in Sidney prepares Thai cui­sine that blend­s ele­ments of Cen­tral and North­east­ern (I-San) Thai tra­di­tions—they serve a vari­ety of Thai cur­ries, spicy sal­ads and stir-fried del­i­ca­cies. Their all-you-can-eat lunch buf­fet is avail­able Mon­day to Sat­ur­day from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Szechaun City

Szechuan City Restaurant & Buffet serves up a traditional Chinese buffet. The all-you-can-eat buffet features a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and is available every weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) for lunch and dinner.

Spice Valley Indian Cuisine

With a great selection of meat and vegetarian dishes, Spice Valley Indian Cuisine features a lunch buffet daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • When: Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Green Cuisine

Green Cuisine is a buffet restaurant, cafe, and juice bar in the courtyard of Market Square. It features a bountiful, daily changing salad bar and hot food spread, hearty breads and bakery treats selection made with wholesome sweeteners and organic flour. Though not your traditional buffet, Green Cuisine offers self-serve style where your meal’s price is based on weight.

  • When: Monday to Sunday,  11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Purple Garden Chinese Restaurant

Sometimes you get a hankering for a classic all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet, and Purple Garden Chinese Restaurant most definitely delivers just that. Featuring a variety of dishes, this eatery is only open for dinner, but offers their dine-in buffet during that time.

  • When: Friday and Saturday, 4:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.

Royal Spice Fine Indian Cuisine

Royal Spice has big selection for Indian food lovers, and has always tried to provide an Indian dining experience that is unmatched. They’re known for their authentic curry, tandoori dishes and freshly baked breads, and feature a lunch buffet daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
