In a media release, VicPD said the Major Crime Unit (MCU) detectives are investigating the incident that occurred in the 1300-block of Hillside Avenue.

Police said they received multiple calls of a person covered in blood and holding a bloody knife while standing in the road.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim with what appeared to be a life-threatening neck wound. He was being treated by bystanders in the area.
