Nanaimo RCMP release security footage of break-and-enter suspects (VIDEO)

Nanaimo RCMP have released security footage with hopes the public can help identify two people responsible for commercial theft.

According to police, the two people seen in the video are believed to be involved in the robbery at Gold and Silver Guy, a local coin, stamp and banknote collection shop.

The robbery took place on the evening of Saturday, January 21st at 65 Townsite Road.

The owner of the store told police he arrived in the morning to find a rear door busted open and interior drywall knocked out allowing for access to the interior.

Once inside, thieves made their way to a safe and a number of expensive items were taken.

 

“Investigators are certain the individuals shown in the attached photos have knowledge that can assist in this investigation. These two need to be identified and spoken,” said Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
