VicPD have confirmed they’ve identified the owner of a mobility scooter and clothing that was discovered along Dallas Road on Saturday.
Unfortunately, police located the individual deceased in the 3100-block of Rutland Avenue in Oak Bay earlier today.
Police say the person’s death is considered non-suspicious.
“Officers have notified the person’s family and have offered our condolences for their loss,” said VicPD in a media release.

On Saturday, police were called to Dallas Road near Olympia Avenue around 8:30 a.m. after a passerby located the scooter, slippers and pendant on the beach.
VicPD released the photos in hopes the public could help identify the owner of the items to ensure the person was okay.
The identity of the person was not released.
