Police seek help locating missing high-risk 73-year-old Esquimalt man (UPDATED)

On Thursday, February 16th, VicPD released a statement saying Gary Davic has been found and is now safe.

VicPD are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 73-year-old high-risk man thought to be somewhere in Esquimalt.

Gary Davis has a medical condition that police say may cause him to appear confused. Due to this condition, Davis is considered to be a high-risk missing individual.

Davis was described by family members as a Caucasian man standing 5’10” tall with a medium build. He is balding, with a curly grey fringe and a bushy white and grey beard.  

According to Davis’ family, he was last seen wearing a blue house coat, blue jeans and carrying a navy-blue duvet.

Police say that Davis was last seen in the 800-block of Wollaston Street in the morning of  Tuesday, February 14th.

Davis is now thought to be somewhere in the area of Esquimalt Plaza.

Officers are actively searching for Davis now. Police ask that if you see Gary Davis, call 911.
