

Just when you thought it was time to pack away those snow boots…
As snowfall has blanketed most of Victoria and the surrounding areas, the result is slippery road conditions and some cancellations of services and school openings, including Saanich School District (SD63).
In a tweet Tuesday morning, SD63 stated that all schools in the Saanich district would be closed for the day due to unsafe road conditions on the peninsula.

Similarly, the Sooke School District (SD62) announced via social media that they would keep their schools closed until noon today.
Notice for ALL SD62 schools on Tuesday, February 28:
Schools will open at 12:00 p.m. today. There will be no bus pickups for to bring students to school for any school in the district. We will reassess road conditions for PM drop-offs from school for our bus services

Additionally, Camosun College and UVic will not have classes until noon today.
The Greater Victoria School District (SD61) will remain open despite the above closures.
