The IMAX Victoria Film Festival returns next month, and you’re invited!
From March 3rd to March 26th, experience cinematic wonders as each documentary film transports you to wondrous places with breathtaking cinematography that can only be experienced on the giant screen.
On top of the slate of returning fan favourite documentaries, this year’s festival will
showcase three feature length BC documentaries and a brand-new IMAX film, Animal
Kingdom: A Tale of Six Families.
We’ve partnered with IMAX Victoria to give away a Film Festival prize pack to one lucky winner so that they can live the experience for themselves, and you’ll find those details below!
Plus, between February 9th and February 23rd, you can have your say and cast your vote for People’s Choice! Simply head online and choose which IMAX Classic by the Stephen Low Company will join the lineup for this year’s festival.

As an annual pass-holder, you can watch all eight film festival documentaries at no additional cost, and you’ll benefit from perks like unlimited IMAX films and discounted Hollywood features for 12 months, invitations to exclusive pass-holder-only events, and discounts at local attractions!

With breathtaking images on a six-storey tall screen with 12,000-watts of wrap-around digital sound, IMAX is a movie experience like no other.
In particular, the IMAX Victoria theatre features 12 channels of surround sound and the largest screen in BC, with a 61 foot high, 85 foot wide screen!
New IMAX with laser also allows audiences to experience colours that exist in the real world
but could never before be shown onscreen, with a more vivid, lifelike image. Laser contrast
leads to more contrast and more detail in the image, and a heightened level of realism.
