The Island Craft Festival is returning to Strathcona this month

Share

Who said craft brew festivals can only happen in the summer?

The Island Craft Festival is flipping the script!

Showcasing a new series of events, a winter edition of the Island Craft Festival is set to feature the local craft beer scene.

What originally began in 2009 as the Strathcona Beer Fest, running annually until 2020, this year it has evolved into a seasonal series of “Island Craft Festivals.”

On February 19th, enjoy a family day weekend while sipping on an array of craft bevies from Vancouver Island producers.

Featuring more than 20 local craft vendors, guests will be able to enjoy a mix of dark beers, spiced ciders and local whiskies.

The festival will be held at the Sticky Wicket with vendors spread across the brand-new Wicket Hall and the Clubhouse.

Once you’ve booked online, guests will be sent digital tickets via email.

Upon arrival, participants can simply show the QR code on their phones at the door. Guests will be greeted with a sample cup and some tokens to start off.

Drink tokens can be used towards 4oz samples of beer or cider*, and ½ oz of spirit.

Food tokens can be used towards scrumptious appetizers. More tokens will be available at the event for $2.50 each.

With more vendors set to join, organizers recommend staying updated through the Strath’s website.
