VicPD are seeking the public’s help in identifying two men wanted for severely beating a man in the early hours of Sunday morning.

At around 12:40 a.m. on February 12th, a man was ‘sucker-punched’ in his head from behind in the 1200-block of Langley Street near Bastion Square.

The victim of the altercation was taken to hospital with severe injuries after they went to aid a female they heard screaming for help.

Two people, including the assault victim, saw a scuffle ensuing when one of them was sucker punched.

The victim’s friend was also injured during the incident, but not as seriously. The victim was treated at hospital for a concussion, a broken nose, bleeding head and a black eye before being released.

He has since had to return to hospital for surgery on his nose.

On the same evening, in the 800-block of Yates Street, a similar case of aggravated assault occurred. Those suspects have since been arrested, though the suspects in this case remain at large.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals in this case or has information about this incident should call VicPD at (250) 995-7654.

To report anonymously, call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
