On Wednesday, February 15th, VicPD made an arrest in connection to this aggravated assault that occurred on February 14th.
The suspect was held in custody until he could go to court.

VicPD released a statement Tuesday afternoon regarding a severe assault that took place in the early hours of February 14th.
Detectives with VicPD’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are now asking people with information to come forward following the attack that left one individual with “significant injuries.”
Police say they were called to the 800-block of Yates Street at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers located the victim suffering from extensive injuries.
Police who arrived at the scene provided first aid to the victim until paramedics took over medical care and transported them to the hospital.
VicPD say they believe this attack was not a random incident and the matter is currently under investigation.
