11 egg-cellent ways to celebrate easter in Victoria

Happy Easter, Victoria!

Whether you’re looking to grab a long weekend brunch, hunt for eggs or eat plenty of chocolate there are tons of fun Easter events for all ages happening this April.

Without further ado, here are 11 ways you can enjoy your Easter long weekend!

Easter Craft Workshop

On Saturday, April 1st, Westshore Town Centre is kicking off the season of funny bunny business with a floral-themed craft workshop for the whole family. Your group will fill your Easter plant pot with pretty greens, blooms and a bunny.

Five-time slots are available throughout the day:

  • 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM
  • 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM
  • 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM
  • 1:45 PM to 2:30 PM
  • 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM

Tickets are $10 per group with a maximum of four people per group.  One pot per group. Suitable for children two years old and up. One parent or guardian must participate to assist children. 

The workshop location is inside Westshore Town Centre near Dollarama and Westshore Dental Centre. Please arrive five minutes early to check-in.

The Easter Eggspress

The BC Forest Discovery Centre is back with the Easter Eggspress with 3 days of FUN with the annual Easter Scavenger Hunt for families in and visiting the Cowichan Region. 

“This event has been a popular spring tradition for more than ten years and was so popular prior to Covid that we are very excited to celebrate it for the entire 3 days of the Easter long weekend. 

We have missed seeing our regular members and the families that make so many of our events their family traditions and we are so happy to be open for the 3 days to celebrate Easter,” says Chris Gale, manager at the BC Forest Discovery Centre.

Easter Brunch

Enjoy a luxurious brunch buffet in the stunning Grand Lobby of Oak Bay Beach Hotel with those nearest and dearest to you this Easter.

Seatings at 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. Guests are advised to book a reservation.

Lion’s Easter Eggstravaganza

  • Where: Sunday, April 9th, 10 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Fairmont Empress Buffet 

Fairmont Empress welcomes guests and locals to celebrate Easter with an abundant buffet brunch in the legendary Crystal Ballroom.

Prepared by Executive Chef Morgan Wilson and the rest of the hotel’s culinary team, the extensive and lavish brunch selections will be sure to delight the senses and create a memorable experience. 

Reconnect with loved ones over creative food stations, fresh, local seafood and a delectable dessert spread.

Easter Egg Hunt 

Are you egg-cited for Easter? Because Meadow Park’s annual Easter egg hunt is back!

On April 8th at 11:00 a.m. thousands of chocolate eggs will be hidden in Meadow Park alongside the Easter Bunny.

The hunt starts at 11 a.m. sharp so please arrive beforehand and bring your own baskets. Entrance to the start line will be off of Latoria Boulevard.

Following the hunt families can hop through the lush trails of Royal Bay to Meadow Park Green where more family fun awaits!

Easter Breakfast and Egg Hunt

Celebrate Easter with a three-course plated brunch and fun activities for the whole family.

Easter Weekend at Bilston Creek Farm 

You’re invited to Easter in the Orchard at Bilston Creek Farm—a two day family-friendly event offering fun activities, fire pits and delicious food!

Ukrainian Easter Traditions

Meaningful Easter traditions create memories that last a lifetime! The Ukrainian Cultural Centre invites you to share the joy of Easter with them and feel the atmosphere of the celebration.

Saanich Kids’ Easter Egg Hunt

Children and their families are invited to celebrate the Easter season at the Saanich Kid’s annual Easter egg hunt!
