We’re back to the workweek grind but heck, the days are getting brighter and so is your attitude once you see what’s in store for today’s events.

From morning dance parties on Gonzales Beach to conversations about sustainability over coffee here are 5 things happening in and around Victoria on Tuesday, March 7th:

Get Up + Dance 

Choose one class or do them all.

Meet at Gonzales Beach Park in Victoria. Located at 1809 Crescent Road; off Richmond Avenue. Street parking is available and there are bus stops on Crescent Road. There are washrooms on site.

Dance to a wide range of eclectic get-you-moving and stir-your-soul music transmitted through wireless silent dance headphones which are provided: music is mixed and sessions are led by AnneMarie Hogya.

  • When: Tuesday, March 7th, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Small Business Information Session

The morning will start with a welcome from City Economic Development staff, followed by a brief presentation session from partners.

You can then visit information booths to network, ask questions, and gather information to learn about all the resources to support you in realizing success within your business or start up.

There is no charge for this session, but guests are asked to pre-register.

Sustainable Community Meetups

These meetups are open to anyone who shares our passion for sustainability, whether you’re an expert or just starting out. We welcome all ideas and perspectives and encourage open discussions on how we can make a positive impact on the environment.

  • Where: Green Cuisine, 560 Johnson Street
  • When: Tuesday, March 7th, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Wildlife Photographer of the Year

Explore the awe-inspiring wonders of the natural world captured through the lenses of award-winning photographers.

Now in its 58th year, the esteemed Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition showcases a global selection of photojournalism, from glimpses into amazing animal behaviours to extraordinary natural landscapes.

Reverse Seaside Route including Finnerty Gardens

Fun ride with lots of variety on mostly bike lanes and quiet streets. A few surprises along the way.

Bring snacks as there will be no official lunch stop.
