

Saanich Police are seeking witnesses after multiple vehicles and properties were damaged with spray paint earlier this week.
The vandalism occurred in the 4500-block of Chatterton Way and the 800-block of Royal Oak Avenue on Tuesday, March 7th.
At least seven vehicles and nearby properties sustained thousands of dollars in damage after they were graffitied with “disturbing messages and images.”
Graffiti was also found on a nearby building, an electrical box, and the inside of a tunnel.
Police believe the incidents happened sometime between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. and say the damage to the vehicles and property combined is estimated at more than $30,000.

“The damage done to these vehicles and property combined is estimated to be in excess of $30,000 and we are hopeful that someone can provide information to help identify the person(s) responsible,” said Cst. Markus Anastasiades.
“It is not suspected that any of the vehicles, owners or properties were targeted.”
