VicPD have released more information on a man they’ve been trying to identify for the past month who they believe is responsible for an arson in downtown Victoria.

The fire destroyed a hotel shuttle van parked outside the Regent Hotel on Wharf Street.

A month after the incident occurred, VicPD are still seeking one man as a person of interest.

Just after midnight on February 3rd, police attended the 1200-block of Wharf street, near Finn’s Seafood after receiving a report of a suspicious fire.

The fire is still being investigated and treated as suspicious, according to VicPD.

Police released a photo of a man who is considered a person of interest in the case. He was identified in CCTV footage gathered as evidence.

VicPD are asking that anyone who recognizes this individual to call VicPD at (250) 995-7654 or call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to report anonymously.
