Victoria’s beloved Ska and Reggae Festival announces this year’s lineup

Reggae music lovers have some exciting performances to look forward to this summer!

Victoria’s 24th annual Ska and Reggae Festival has announced its 2023 lineup and reggae enthusiasts can look forward to several renowned artists set to perform. 

With performances slated at Ship Point, Upstairs Cabaret and the Victoria Curling Club, Maxi Priest, Chali2Na and the House of Vibe will headline this event.

What is expected to be a weekend filled with groovy tunes and profound entertainment, the 2023 Ska and Reggae Festival starts Wednesday, June 21st and runs until Sunday, June 25th. 

International reggae icon Maxiicon, Maxi Priest will take over the stage for the first time in Victoria.

For nearly four decades, Maxi Priest has been delighting reggae lovers around the world with his effervescent stage presence and ethereally sweet voice.

Also taking the stage is one of hip-hop’s most recognizable and versatile MCs, CHALI 2NA.

CHALI 2NA returns to the Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival for the first time since 2018, when he delighted audiences with his appearance alongside Ozomatli. 

This year, Chali will be joined by his long-time band The House Of Vibe for what’s sure to be an unforgettable celebration of hip-hop culture and grooves.
