Happy Wednesday, Victoria!

From comedy nights at the Mint to live indie rock performances, here are five ways you can enjoy your day this Wednesday, April 19th:

Sunset Rubdown

Easily one of the busiest people in indie rock, vocalist/keyboardist Spencer Krug of the critically hailed Montreal band Wolf Parade (as well as part time Frog Eyes member) leads Sunset Rubdown, intended to be an additional outlet for Krug’s songwriting and slightly more experimental than Wolf Parade.

Together they’ll celebrate the three albums created as a band, and look toward the possibility of a fourth. Krug admits he was the last one to think a Sunset Rubdown reunion would ever happen, but is grateful he was wrong.

The Fretless presented by Oliver Swain

Through its deconstruction and transformation of the usual rhythmic, harmonic and structured arrangements of fiddle styles around the world, The Fretless is pushing traditional music to a new place, and has now issued itself an atypical challenge in the mission to find and convert fans unfamiliar with “progressive” traditional music.
