A newcomer to Victoria has gone missing and her daughter has taken to social media in order to spread awareness and try to find her missing mother.

55-year-old Patricia Nzuza hasn’t been seen for over a week according to her daughter’s instagram post which is being widely shared throughout Victoria.

Nzuza came to Victoria to meet up with an “online friend” but hasn’t been seen since.
“I’m asking for help — if you’re in BC, please keep an eye out and let me know if you see her or have any information at all,” said Patricia’s daughter, Nakaya.

“We miss you mom.”

Sidney/North Saanich are leading the missing person’s investigation and on Monday, April 24th, they released a request for public assistance to find Nzuza.

Police have confirmed through CCTV footage that Nzuza arrived at the Victoria International Airport and was last seen leaving the airport at 9:36 a.m. on April 16th on a BC Transit Bus.

She was officially reported missing three days later on Sunday April 19th and police haven’t been able to find her yet.

Police say Nzuza is described as a 55-year-old Black woman standing 5’, 6” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds with black hair. She was last seen wearing a long tan coloured coat, thick gold hoop earrings, a  dark brown tailored belted shirt, black pants and white sneakers.

Police say she may be traveling with two large hard-sided light pink suitcases, a black backpack with camo strap, and a small dark blue backpack style purse.

According to Patricia’s family it is out of character for her to be out of contact for extended periods of time and thus, they are extremely worried about her wellbeing.

If anyone has any details on the circumstances of Nzuza’s sudden disappearance, call Sidney/North Saanich RCMP at (250) 656-3931.
