Still pondering fun ways to enjoy your Easter long weekend?

Have no fear! The BC Forest Discovery Centre is bringing back the popular ‘Easter Eggpress’ train.

The three day fun filled scavenger hunt has invited families and visitors of the Cowichan Region for more than 10 years to celebrate Easter in style.

“This event has been a popular spring tradition for more than ten years and was so popular prior to COVID that we are very excited to celebrate it for the entire 3 days of the Easter long weekend. We have missed seeing our regular members and the families that make so many of our events their family traditions and we are so happy to be open for the 3 days to celebrate Easter,” said Chris Gale, manager at the BC Forest Discovery Centre.

This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, Sunday, and Easter Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with goodie bags being provided for children who complete the scavenger hunt.

The festivities don’t end there, though!

Unlimited Green Hornet train rides will also be offered for a weekend of fun.

“Unlimited Green Hornet train rides, goodie bags for those on the scavenger hunt, and a great educational experience, and the concession will be open, are just some of the reasons for kids of all ages to come out to the three-day event.”

Admission rates of $8 for children three to12 years old. Children two and under are $12 for adults, seniors/youth at $10 makes it an affordable, fun day for all.

Tickets are available for purchase at the door.
