Legendary rapper Afroman set to perform live in Victoria this April

Share

By popular demand, Afroman is returning to Victoria this month!

Making four stops in BC this April, the legendary comedic rapper will perform at Upstairs Cabaret on Monday, April 17th.

Fans can look forward to classic hit songs “Crazy Rap” and “Because I Got High,” which was nominated for a Grammy in 2002.

Afroman was inspired to write the song’s lyrical content by his unwillingness to clean his room, and he ran with the idea of everyday tasks being derailed by drug use.

Afroman rose to fame around the early 2000’s, after releasing his best-known album, The Good Times, in 2001.

In October 2014, Afroman released a remix of his hit song “Because I Got High” in order to highlight the usefulness of marijuana as part of the effort to legalize its sale across the United States.

Tickets are currently being sold on Eventbrite.
